Hey there. Thanks for stopping by!

I'm Mandi:  Counselor, Writer, Wife, Step momma, and Social Anxiety Survivor.

I spent a lot of years trying to hide my neurotic side from the world because I just wanted to appear like everyone else—"Nothing to see here, folks! Just a perfectly normal, non-nervous individual. Seriously, carry on. It's boring over here."

And the really unfortunate thing about that is ... it was true. It was boring over here. Because as it turns out when you hide your darkness, you also hide your light.

It's an unfortunate reality, isn't it? If we want to bring any trace of lasting difference in this world, we have to be honest. So that's what this blog is about—the honest and often unflattering tales of finding Christ's heart in the face of neurosis.

My hope is to bring a sense of peace to those who can relate—those who harbor deep feelings of shame because they're supposed to be a shiny, confident Christian, but instead feel weak, broken, and unnaturally sweaty.

I'm writing for the broken ones . . . those who have learned that grace is something we receive one moment at a time.

I would love to hear your story, too. Send me a message and introduce yourself. I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you.

We'll get there eventually . . . little by little.
